What is The Rock Carnival?
The Rock Carnival is a multi-day, fun for all ages event that takes place Friday, September 30th, Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday, October 2nd at First Energy Park, Lakewood, NJ.
What is there to do at the event?
There’s a lot to do at the event! Enjoy live music, food trucks, craft beer, competitions, amusement rides and carnival activities, pro wrestling, gaming tournaments, and more.
Are children allowed at the concerts?
Yes! The Rock Carnival is a “fun for all” event. Additionally, children ages 16 and under (with valid school ID) will be allowed into the concert & carnival area for FREE if accompanied by a paid adult ticket-holder. There will be a Children's VIP ticket available through soundrink.com. We do encourage, however, that younger children wear headphones to protect their hearing.
Do you allow tailgating or camping?
NO! Tailgating and camping are NOT allowed at The Rock Carnival. The parking areas will be monitored to make sure that no tailgating of any kind takes place during the event.
Does the event cost money?
Walking into the carnival area is FREE if you get a ticket in advance. We will be announcing several locations to pick up free carnival tickets soon. (And for a limited time they are downloadable from TIcketFly.) Day of show carnival tickets can be purchased for $15.00. The free area of the event includes the food trucks, live music, pig races, carnival activities, wrestling, and much more! You will need to purchase a ticket however, to enter the paid music area where the event headliners will be playing. *Children 16 & under are FREE when accompanied by a paid adult ticket.
Can I come and go between the paid concert area and the free areas?
Yes. When you enter the paid concert area, you will be given a wristband. As long as you keep your wristband on, you will be able to come and go between the two areas. YOU MUST KEEP YOUR WRISTBAND ON IN ORDER TO ENTER THE PAID MUSIC AREA.
What should I do if I need to remove my wristband?
If you remove your wristband, you will NOT be able to enter the paid music area of the event.
What time does the event start/end?
The Rock Carnival Hours are:

How many stages will there be?
The Rock Carnival will feature a total of four stages.
Will there be seating? Can I bring lawn chairs or blankets into the event?
There will also be a seated picnic area within the event grounds, and reserved seating is available for an extra cost. You may bring blankets, but no chairs of any kind are permitted into the event.

There will be a lost and found located at the box office during the event. After the event you can call our office at (732) 578-8494.
What do you do in case of inclement weather?
The Rock Carnival is a rain or shine event. The event will take place on Friday, September 30th, Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday, October 2nd.

Are VIP tickets available?
Yes! VIP tickets to the event are available. Check the ticketing page of our website for more info.
I bought tickets and I have a question about them.

Can I print my ticket more than once?
You may print your ticket more than once, but ONLY THE FIRST COPY SCANNED will be allowed into the music area, so we recommend only printing one copy and keeping it in a safe place!
Can I give my ticket to someone else even if their name isn’t on it?
You may only do this for single day tickets. Please note that tickets can only be scanned one time, so two people cannot get in with two different copies of the same ticket. You CANNOT split a weekend pass among two people.
I am no longer able to attend. Can I get a refund?
No. There will be no refunds for The Rock Carnival.
Can I bring food/beverages with me?
Absolutely no outside food or beverage may be brought inside The Rock Carnival grounds.
What food options will be available?
There will be lots of food options! In addition to the many food trucks we will have at the event, food vendors will also be available on site. We also encourage guests to explore the great local eateries that Ocean County has to offer as well before entering or after leaving the event.
What’s the parking situation?
The Rock Carnival will offer both On Site and Off Site parking options for our guests. On Site Parking is on a first come, first serve basis. Parking lots will open 3 hours before gates open. There will be absolutely no tailgating.
No overnight parking allowed.
On Site Parking Fees:
Parking fees are $20.00 per car ($40 for preferred parking) / $10 per motorcycle
RVs and Bus parking is available.
If needed, remote lot parking is free, with a $5.00 round trip shuttle pass will be available at each location, day of show. Shuttle Service will run 3 hours prior and 2 hours after the end of the show.
Police and Parking Supervision will be monitoring each Off Site location to ensure a safe and smooth shuttle plan for all our guests who chose to park off site.
Tow Truck service will be available upon request.
There will be NO street parking around First Energy Park. We are asking all our guests to respect the wonderful community of Lakewood, NJ. There will be a zero tolerance for street parking and all vehicles parked on the streets around First Energy Park will be towed.

What is the closest airport to the event?
Atlantic City International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport are in the general vicinity of the event grounds with Newark International (EWR) farther away.
How far is First Energy Park from New York City?
First Energy Park is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from New York City in car/van. (68 miles)
How do I go about obtaining media credentials?
You must be on editorial assignment with an outlet (print, online or TV). If you are a freelance journalist or photographer you must be on assignment from an official media outlet. (Spec photography, portfolio photography and personal website photography are not valid assignments.) We will not issue photo credentials for Photo Agencies. Everyone must be on direct assignment from a media outlet. If you are not the assigning Editor/Producer or are a freelance journalist or photographer, the assigning Editor/Producer must email Maria Ferrero and Natalie Camillo from Adrenaline PR at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com and provide a letter of assignment on behalf of each individual attendee on company letterhead, stating the name of the journalist/photographer assigned to attend, information about the outlet (circulation/stats), and the scope of coverage. If you are an online outlet, the website must be active with current coverage.
Please note media passes are limited—being on assignment does not guarantee a credential will be granted.
All media inquiries should be sent to Maria Ferrero and Natalie Camillo from Adrenaline PR; please fill out your request at their website. Your request will be reviewed and you will be notified 2-3 weeks prior to the event if credentials can be provided. ALL media inquiries must be submitted no later than Sept. 11, 2016 in order to be considered.
PLEASE NOTE: No professional cameras will be allowed within the event grounds. No filming or recording is permitted without written consent from Rock Carnival and its producers. Anyone caught filming or recording will be subject to immediate ejection and confiscation of content captured.
I need to bring my prescription medication, will this be okay?
Yes. ALL medical prescriptions and accompanying names on those containers will need to match your valid ID. All medical prescriptions will be checked by security at the entrance gate.
Can I bring my backpack? What can I bring in to the event?
Backpacks will be allowed into the event after they have been searched by security at the gate.
Am I allowed to bring my pet?
Sorry, there are no pets allowed.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE ROCK CARNIVAL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE:
Weapons of any kind (including guns, knives, explosives, fireworks), illegal or illicit substances of any kind, instruments, outside food and beverages, tents, umbrellas, flags, professional photo/video/recording equipment (including any cameras with removable lenses), glass containers, aerosol cans, skateboards, scooters or personal motorized vehicles, bicycles, pets (except service dogs), unauthorized solicitations, handbills, samplings, give-aways, etc. If there is something you feel the need to bring with you that is questionable, please contact us prior to doing so.
Can I bring my camera with me?
Yes, but PLEASE NOTE: No professional cameras will be allowed within the event grounds. No filming or recording is permitted without written consent from The Food Truck and Rock Carnival and its producers. Anyone caught filming or recording will be subject to immediate ejection and confiscation of content captured.
Will there be security?
Yes. Event security is being provided by Griffin's Security LLC.

Will there be emergency staff?
EMTs will be on-site at The Food Truck and Rock Carnival in multiple designated locations. Additionally, police and event security will be on-site throughout the event grounds to assist our fans. Union County Emergency Services will be on-site for the duration of the event to assist with any medical and/or emergency needs. Is The Rock Carnival handicap accessible?
Yes, The Rock Carnival grounds are handicap accessible and ADA compliant. Inside the stadium there are 8 different sections with handicap seats.
